A Bike with a Built-in 360° Camera

A Bike with a Built-in 360° Camera

Capture every bike ride in 360 with a built-in camera. No need to worry about mounting or shaky footage.

Product Idea

I’m working on creating a prototype for a bike with a 360 camera. The camera will be built-in so riders don’t have to purchase a camera or mounting gear separately. It will also be waterproof, shock-proof, and dust-proof. It will have sensors to collect speed, elevation, air pressure and track progress on a map.

I’m creating an app to go with it to make it easy to edit the footage and create cool videos for adventure sharers.

Once the prototype is done, I plan to launch a Kickstarter campaign.

I am hoping to validate this idea before launching the campaign. If you think this would be a cool product, please upvote and comment with your feedback.

  1. This sounds cool! I would also look into creating a helmet with a built-in 360 camera. Not sure if they are a thing yet. You will have to do some research. It would be nice because it’s more versatile. The helmet view vs the bike view is a debatable topic.

  2. I like that you are positioning it for recording bike adventures, but you can also add something about safety. A lot of cyclists find the safety feature reassuring. They like to know that what’s happening around them is being recorded in case they run into any trouble.

  3. Hey Sarah, You have an interesting idea. Its success will probably depend on your execution: how your tech compares to what’s available on the market, price point, the features of the bike itself and its design, etc. Depending on how far you are with creating the prototype, I suggest you build a simple landing page sharing what you have so far, your messaging, and collect emails from people who are interested in getting updates. You will have to run some ads to it, but this will help you validate the idea, the product, and give you a boost when you launch your kickstarter campaign since you will have an audience to announce it to. Hope this helps.

    1. Hi Hannah! Thank you so much for your help. I am figuring out all these details as we speak. The landing page is a smart move! I will have to figure out how to get that going as well. I appreciate your insight 🙂
